City elopements are my favorite and this one is fulfilling all my NYC dreams. Between the colorful and iconic backdrops I couldn’t wait to feature this one.
Full disclosure – I had a bit of a fan girl moment when I got some submissions from Sascha. I don’t remember how I came across his work, but I’ve been following his work for years and love his use of vibrant colors! He and his wife Jackie have created the perfect dream team for elopements in New York.
Here are a few words from him about the day!
“This is the Gapstow Bridge Wedding of Ashley & Michael. I met Ashley (the bride) at the Dream Hotel in Midtown where Ashley (the stylist) were putting on the finishing touches. After a quick ‘first look’ with Michael we were off to Central Park where Jackie was waiting for us. Jackie performed a beautiful ceremony with the Gapstow Bridge and the New York skyline in the background. After their ‘I Dos’ we stayed a bit in Central Park before we jumped on the subway to SoHo. The old cobble stone streets and graffiti walls made for an amazing background. This was such a special day. Thank you Ashley and Michael for letting me share it with you.”
Also check out that Tiger mural at the end! It’s like they new this would be published in the days of the Tiger King obsession 😉
