Like many many couples the COVID virus caused Amanda and Kyle to go to Plan B. They opted to say their vows with just them and an officiant surrounded by the blooming trees outside the Fairfax County Courthouse.
Here are some words about the couples and their day from their photographer, Elizabeth :
” Amanda and Kyle met on a blind date dinner in Mclean, Va in December 2018. At the time, Amanda was an exchange student from Brazil and Kyle had just moved to DC from rural Pennsylvania. After a second date of getting to know each other better, both Amanda and Kyle thought they might part ways as they came from different backgrounds and didn’t have a lot in common. But thankfully, just as they were about to say goodbye everything changed during a moment both of them will never forget, their first kiss.
Following the kiss, Amanda and Kyle’s relationship took off and the rest is history. One and a half years later, they decided to get married but we’re faced with the challenge of having their special day during a national emergency. Amanda and Kyle made the difficult decision to cancel their wedding with family and friends in lieu of having a ceremony with just the two of them in Fairfax, Va. The ceremony could not have been more special. Amanda and Kyle credit their strong love, happiness and faith to help them through this difficult time.
What they thought in the beginning were differences, turned out to be wonderful complements of their relationship. The pair look forward to a lifetime of love together.”
