They were one of the last couples to get married at San Francisco City Hall before the COVID shutdowns began. But maybe last is best?!
They sure were all smiles as they said I do at the always beautiful city hall in San Francisco. Proving once again that nothing can stop love!
Here are some words from their photographer Rachel about the day:
“I had a few phone calls with the ladies, and they flew out to San Francisco to meet me at SF City Hall. We booked their photography and hair and make up with our team. I personally photographed this wedding. One of my favorite shots is of the tattoos on the back of their arms. It’s the longitude and latitude of where they got engaged and where they got married. I thought I was going to swoon!!!
They were part of the last week we were allowed to shoot weddings in San Francisco as we were the first City to shelter in place, and I’m so glad that it was THEM. They went home and closed on their new home April 2, 2020. They said they feel really blessed that life brought them together and there’s nobody else they’d rather have to stay home with!”

How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
Jenn and Adria met in the summer of 2015 through mutual friends and were both involved with other people. They stayed in touch and six months later when they’d both become single again, they had a champagne brunch, with lots of champagne…and decided to try dating each other.
Four and a half years later they’d planned a weekend getaway with friends at the Kennett Square Pennsylvania, for “The Lights” festival where 3,000 people attend an all day music festival and by nightfall, they each light lanterns with messages of gratitude, or whatever their hearts desire written on them and then light them and release them to the night sky.
They had a lovely AirBNB at Galer Estates Vineyard and Winery that Jenn booked and planned, but Adria had something bigger up her sleeve!

Proposal Story Continued….
Jenn Writes:
As we all gathered on blankets taking in the warm summer night in conversations and laughter it was time to write on our lanterns as the sun set. When the time came to light and release I was absolutely oblivious to what was about to take place. Our friends released theirs first as the sky began to illuminate with lanterns and I stood there in awe at the breathtaking views. After I released mine I was instructed to read the message written on Adri’s lantern as we lit it on the torch. As I stood there reading I came across “… I want to spend the rest of my life with you”, I then turned to Adri who was in mid drop on one knee with a ring box in hand asking to marry her. I mean, come on! Talk about proposal of a lifetime. In complete shock with tears running down my face, makeup a mess and repeating “Oh My God, are you serious?!” I don’t even remember if I actually said yes right away to be honest, lol. I think she even asked “ So whats your answer?” I said yes. As soon as I did , flyers with “ She said yes! Jenn & Adri are engaged” were taken out along with a bottle of Veuve with a label saying “ She said yes!” on it. Adri also has a special Heart shaped lantern made with the words “ She said Yes!” written on it. We lit and released it.
