Does it get more beautiful than this backdrop for an elopement?! Ben and Ann married in Quiraing on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. This is a true elopement! What started as a vacation turned into a wedding and they incorporated their own traditions into the ceremony. Instead of rings, they exchanged necklaces.
Here is a little more info about the day from their photographer Roz :
The couple came all the way from Germany to celebrate both their love for each other and their love of Scotland.
Anna says: “We first met on an online dating site, but when we met in “real life” it was just perfect. It was like we had known each other for a very long time. Though we both had a hard time before, we`ve started together in an positive and happy part of our togetherness. Since then we are inseparable. So much unites us – our love to the nature, the Ben´s and Glen´s, our passion for fantasy books, TV shows and movies, for fantasy and roleplay boardgames and our life goals and dreams that were matching from the very beginning. Our journey to Skye was just planned as an vacation, though we both love Scotland and see it as the home of our soul´s and heart´s (we also want to emigrate to Scotland in a few years!). But then Ben made me an unexpected proposal at our anniversary, so we decided to be spontaneous and get married on our vacation.”
During the ceremony, they opted for a romantic hand-fasting ritual – as well as the exchanging of necklaces instead of wedding rings.
