We’re in the midst of a crazy heat wave in the Midwest, so it seems like the perfect time to escape it with this gorgeous Christmas wedding!
Teresa and Rick opted to have an intimate affair at their home in North Carolina around the Christmas holiday since their place would already be decked out for it!
Here are some words from their photographer about the day:
“What a wonderful way to end 2020…with a Christmas wedding. Rick and Teresa look back on 2020 with so many blessings. Amidst the global pandemic, they looked at all 2020 had to offer…a new forever home…a new niece…and a retirement. It was this reason that they decided to get married in 2020. They gave each other the greatest gift this Christmas and celebrated with a few of their family and friends with an intimate Christmas wedding ceremony in their new home.
Their home was decorated so beautifully by Matt and his team from Hollyfield Design. Rick greeted me at the door with a big smile. Teresa was getting ready in her bedroom as Rick crossed items off his to-do list (my kind of couple). Perry from Davis Video Productions joined me and we recorded the sweetest first look. Teresa was radiant and teary-eyed…Rick had a few tears but jokingly blamed it on the cold air. Once they saw each other, they were ready for the ceremony. Teresa and her mom shared a prayer with her brother on the phone. Then she walked down the steps of her forever home to meet her forever man. They shared vows that they memorized and recited back and forth, which was so sweet. They enjoyed dinner at the CCNC Club House and enjoyed the night, sharing stories…golf, square dancing…Teresa’s grandpa and his fondness for dancing. It was really the best way to spend the evening. With Covid, I’m sure they were missing their extended families, but it was an amazing night…and I’m sure when they can finally see their family, it will be a celebration like no other! The best is yet to come!”
