We’re back from the long holiday weekend and diving back in with this gorgeous Maui elopement. This is pretty much everything you could want in a Hawaii elopement. Gorgeous brides, beautiful weather and views for days. Does it get better?
Here are some words from their photographer:
“Megan and Kat said Aloha (See ya!) to an at-home wedding and Aloha (Helloooo!) to a Maui elopement! Early in January, these adorable blondes were married on the powder-soft sands of the island’s Southshore, with nothing but the glistening ocean bearing witness. Intimate, loving, and “In the moment,” this Maui elopement is what Aloha (Love) is all about!
Megan and Kat met in college while playing sports together. It began as “just friends” and grew into a deep and honest love. The Maui sun pulled out all the stops to grant these two lovebirds a spectacular day. Hues of gold and peach faded into the horizon and warmed Megan and Kat’s shoulders as they gazed into the eyes of their best friend, and partner for life.
Simple Maui Wedding arranged for talented local performers to set the scene with soft Hawaiian melodies and the sacred movements of the hula. Megan was vibing spunky and gorgeous in a curve-hugging lace gown with a sheer back. Accentuating her bride, Kat wore a cream suit with an open blazer and lace blouse. To tie it all together, both carried a rustic Hawaiian bouquet with ginger, protea, and Maui foliage. And shoes? Who needs ‘em on the beach?!
In place of a ceremonial arch, Megan and Kat were encircled by island flowers draped on the sand as they said the big “I do.” They celebrated their union with cake by the sea, sparkling cider, and a first dance as the sun set below the horizon. When asked what they’ll do next, Megan and Kat said they look forward to seeing their furbaby back home and can’t wait to start a family in the years ahead.”
