Dallas County Courthouse Wedding: Kimberly + Stephen

A little rain on your wedding day is good luck right? In that case Kimberly and Stephen are the luckiest!

They married at the Dallas County Courthouse with their family, friends and son Wyatt as guests before busting out the umbrellas for some photos around downtown.

Here is a little more about the day from their photographer, AnnaMarie :

“I was originally supposed to be photographing Kim and Stephen’s wedding, until Kim found out she was pregnant again a few weeks ago. So, she and Stephen decided to elope and announce that their little boy Wyatt was going to be a big brother all in the same day. We started off at the courthouse and I took photos of the ceremony. Then, after we all went to lunch, we headed down to the Winspear Opera House to get some pretty couple shots. It had been raining off and on all day, so I had to stop at Target and grab some clear umbrellas in case it started to pour while we were shooting. Luckily, it only drizzled. I’m in love with the way these turned out!”

Check out their day and some Q&A below!

How did you two meet?

We met in college. We both graduated from Texas Tech.

What made you decide to elope?

We already have one child together and while planning a big wedding we found out that we’re expecting our second child. We decided to speed up the process and make it official!

How did you decide on the location?

We have a family member who was able to help us make arrangements with the courthouse so we could still have a semi private elopement.

How did you break the news to everyone that you were eloping/having a tiny wedding?

We told family members a week before. We wanted to people to be able to be there but knew it was last minute. We were surprised with how many people showed up to support us!

What was your favorite part of the day?

Marrying my best friend!

Do you have any advice for couples planning their wedding day?

Just go with it!
