Idaho Microwedding in the mountains : Anna + Jeremy

A beautiful view, the person you love and family and friends. What more do you need?!

From their photographer:

“In the year of Covid and cancels and all things unknown, Anna and Jeremy decided to do the damn thing their way. Their main love is their combined family, renovated van life + mountains and adventure. With about 20 of their closest friends, they celebrated their day on the top of Sundance Mountain just outside of Coolin, Idaho. It was a crazy trek up (nearly climbing straight vertical in our vehicles on old fire roads) but so incredibly worth it. Anna got ready in a tent, the family crowded into their travel van to do finishing touches on hair and makeup, trucks made a circle to create the space for fire and food, and on the side of the mountain we celebrated. Truly one of the best days ever.”

Tell us about you and how you decided to elope!

We met through mutual friends. With covid it made our decision pretty easy. We wanted it to be simple as well as personal.

How did you decide on the location?

We wanted it to be meaningful for us. We spent a lot of time driving fire roads on weekends looking for our perfect location. Once we found our location we had to figure out how to get people up there. The drive to the top of the mountain requires high clearance 4×4 vehicles so coordinating that alone had its own challenges. I think one of the biggest challenges was that we had to pack everything in our van the day before. So two dogs, three kids, two coolers, bags, a huge bouquet of flowers and of course, a small simple cake.

Did you tell anyone your plans? How did you break the news?

A couple weeks before. We gave a few close friends the coordinates to the location and asked to meet us on 8/8.
We told our folks before hand they wished us well but knew that the drive to the location was insane.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Do you have any advice for couple currently planning their elopements?

Do what makes you both happy. You can’t elope trying to appease everyone else.
