When Covid hit Madison and Patrick opted to switch plans. They grabbed their 25 favorite humans (and their dog!) and headed to the desert for a wedding /Thankgiving celebration like no other!
They rented out a private ranch so that everyone could stay on site and they would have the space to themselves. They said I do with their former cross country coach serving as their officiant (that’s how they met!) and enjoyed a night under the stars eating and drinking.
Here are a few words from their photographer about the day :
“Madison and Patrick were one of the many couples whose wedding plans were thwarted due to covid last year.
These two first met in high school cross country running team. After high school, they both went their separate ways to college, but fate had a different plan for them. Their friends (and coach) knew they were meant to be, and the world worked to make that so. As they finish their degrees, they have spent the last several years travelling, running, and being badasses as wildland firefighters! They have a beautiful cattle dog named Kyote who adventures with them full time.
When their original wedding was cancelled, they chose a wonderful country resort in the desert to celebrate Thanksgiving with their nearest and dearest, with a wedding! Everything was perfectly them. From the officiant being their high school cross country coach, to the flowers and baked goods designed and cooked by their moms, or the vintage veil Maddie wore from her late grandma, to Kyote’s flower bandana matching Patrick’s tie, it was a perfect winter wedding in the desert! ”
