It’s hard to believe that this location was Plan B! Their original venue was closed so they went with the advice of their photographer and married at Something Blue Mountain Venue.
They were surrounded by a few family and friends and soaked in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The most beautiful “something blue” I’ve ever seen!
Check out their gorgeous day and some Q&A from the couple below.

Planning: Simply Eloped
Venue: Something Blue Mountain Venue
How did you meet?
We met Freshman year of High School
How did you decide to elope vs. having a big wedding?
We decided to elope because we wanted something simple and personal. We didn’t want to spend a ton of money for a giant wedding.
How did you decide on the location?
We had been to Asheville multiple times and it was beautiful
Did you tell everyone ahead of time you were eloping? How did you break the news?
We told close friends and family we were planning to elope shortly after we got engaged. We told everyone else after we got eloped and were just like “surprise! We are married”
What was your favorite part of the day and why?
Our favorite part of the day was hearing each other read our vows. We wrote them ourselves and it was so special and sweet. Also when Carter saw me in my dress for the first time.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their elopements or tiny weddings?
Don’t worry about other people’s opinions. Your wedding day is about your love and what you two want. Some family members may be upset or have hurt feelings that they weren’t invited but at the end of the day, it’s about dedicating your lives together and vowing to love each other always.
