While Kate was studying for her BFA at California State University, Fullerton she discovered her love for design and changed her degree to Special Effects Makeup and Hair for Film and Theatre.
After visiting Chicago for the first time, she packed her bags and moved east. A couple years of being a educator for companies such as Smashbox and Nars she decided to venture out on her own finding success in TV, print advertisements and celebrities when they come into town to promote projects.
When she found her love for working with brides she also found her tribe of incredible artists. These artists are hair and makeup educators as well as celebrity stylists. People ask Kate, “What is The Bridal Teams style” And we can very confidently say… “Our style is to not have a style.” We stay educated and diverse so that there is no hair type or skin tone that we are not confident in. We work hard to understand cultural bridal traditions and how beauty plays a role.
