I’m not sure if I intentionally scheduled this DC elopement to be the day after inauguration or not, but it seems fitting! Paige and Andrew decided to elope and embrace the beauty and history of DC to say I do.
I’m going to share their photographer Neva’s words about the couple and the day below:
“Paige and and Andrew are who I want to be when I grow up. From the minute we hopped on the phone, their energy and personalities were so positive and infectious. They talked at length about wanting their elopement to be authentic to them; silly, kind, and joyful.
When the day of the elopement arrived, we were treated to a sunny, quiet, and serene day on the National Mall. Andrew and Paige specifically chose the DC War Memorial for their ceremony and I couldn’t imagine a better and more intimate venue. Paige’s brother Hunter gave her away and their sweet ceremony really captured their beautiful love for each other. They celebrated Andrew’s Scottish heritage by exchanging the plaid tartan they brought with them to formally welcome Paige to the clan! It was a so special.
After Paige and Andrew’s ceremony, we got to take our time frolicking across the National Mall and captured some candid portraits and photos to commemorate their day! I loved capturing these love birds holding hands, looking into each other’s eyes and exchanging the brightest of smiles. It was such an honor, and a blast too!”
